There is an old woman in my building that I have said hi to often over the years. I read her as Jewish from the beginning. More recently she has begun to trust me and has chatted to me more. She seems a very fearful person. She told me yesterday that she was going out with her sister, her sister who lives in Stamford Hill (and orthodox Jewish area in London), she elaborated. In other words, she was telling me she was Jewish. I don't know what made her decide to 'come out'. I don't know whether I gave her enough code back to say, it's ok, so am I.
