I was in Business Class (!) on a flight and this black guy strides up the aisle just before the door closes. He walked past and said, "Look white people" and kept walking to find his seat down the other aisle.
He was strutting and demanding attention. Clearly he was angry about something but he seemed to want to make it about 'race'. I felt angry that he took it upon himself to judge me. He knew nothing about me ot why I was there, or the 10 or 15 other people sitting there.
I have to say, in all the flights I have taken between London and Melbourne via half a dozen cities in South East Asia, there has been a tiny percentage of black people on them. I think he was trying to make a point about class, but it was more a point about destination... I don't know. It was a passing shot and who knows what he really meant.
