them

I met a person who has worked with my local school - so local I can see them from my window. She worked with them becuase they are a "poor inner city school". She asked me whether they were a religious school. I explained that they aren't. They are a normal 'state school' - a 'comprehensive' - and they are the pride of the area because they are doing so well. D then said that they are 98% Bengali.
"Yes, I know and that doesn't reflect the area. It's a 50/50 area but all the white parents put their kids into the Catholic schools - even if they aren't Catholic", I explained.
So there is segregated education - on religious grounds, but not as assumed.
