Walked past people I assumed were Russian or Ukrainian. We have new migrants in this area who speak a Russian sounding language (and it's cyrillic) but I haven't worked up the guts to ask them where they are from. I assumed these people were Russian because they were very pale and big and rough looking and one guy had a pink head, like it had been boiled. An alcoholic look.
All my stereotypes of Russians or Ukrainians have surfaced. I didn't even know how strongly I felt them until now, when I'm beginning to have some kind of amorphous fear around them - these new kids on the block.
