My partner is incensed on my behalf - on behalf of me as a Jewish person - because of an ad on TV for a show called, The History of the Self. I didn't see the implication myself...
It's an ominous ad, flashing various images, creating the 'Ad-busters' style idea that 'our mind is not our own'. It seems anti-capitalist, or anti-globalisation, or at least anti-advertising. But it's actually a documentary series about one family who apparently ' manipulated the world' generation after generation.
It happens to be a Jewish family.
