me

Went to my first 'demo' in ages yesterday. It was meant to be about the rights of asylum and asylum seekers. There were obviously a large minority of people who were there for that specific reason but the majority were rent-a-mob.

Rent-a-mob always add their entire agenda onto the issues being demonstrated. I would have to think twice before I marched again because of these other agendas. I agree with the pamphleteers who ask for an end to Israeli war crimes. I would agree with their definition and sentiment but the far-left white anti-Zionists have plenty in common with traditional anti-Semites. The attack was personal and it was about me. It was filled with hearsay, emotion and stereotype: a very scary combination.
