In Dublin, Ireland I sat next to a man on a bench by the sea. He was chatty and striked up a conversation. He was from Manchester. Topic: where are you from? What are you doing here?

He then told me his friend was an illegal [in Australia] and that he had hired a QC to beat the system so he was allowed to stay.... Now he's doing really well...

[Later]... we are being over run with Asylum Seekers... They are jerks...

[Next breath] ... my family came over from Ireland to escape such awful poverty. The Irish were unique, they set up centres around the community to help each other out when they got here...
