I was standing at the bus stop, moaning about our absent bus with a stranger (a common occurence on this particular route). I observed that the bus is fine from one end but not from the other. It's always late or even absent from the other end of the line.
The woman said, "It's because the drivers get off and pray at each end."
If you're not from around here you might not understand that to be Islamaphobia - but it was... Ironically, I don't believe any of the drivers on this route are, in fact, Muslim - but what can you say?
