My partner told me the other day that she has come to understand my desire to walk around the flat, the kitchen, everywhere naked as culturally-specific. I had just apologised to her that I was naked in the kitchen. She doesn't like that. Somehow nakedness [in kitchens?] is a Jewish thing.
Apparently there was an episode of "Sex in the City" where the Jewish man that Charlotte was engaged to, was walking around his home, eating breakfast with no clothes on and she thought it was disgusting - or it freaked her out somehow.
So because she relates to the Charlotte character as a convert who sometimes gets it wrong due to over-enthusiasm and too much reliance on religious law with little cultural understanding, she has decided that nakedness is some kind of Jewish trait.
She knows I find that kind of problematic....
