Villejuif is a place in Paris and it's the end of a metro or subway line so you use the name as a way of navigating the subway system. It translates as Jew City. I assume its where Jewish people used to live in bygone days. In London we have streets called Jewry Street but it feels wierd when you see it somewhere else. It feels kind of quietly hostile: you are them. You are never us.
