Something was pointed out to me that I hadn't included here in the diary. That I omitted it, is the problem. I didn't include the following as "day to day effects of racism I have encountered":

One person, a white middle class woman, speculated that Chinese people don't have a concept of games. It was an observation made by another white middle class person because the games she was attempting to engage a group of Chinese people in weren't working.

Another white middle class person said, perhaps as a joke - I don't honestly know, that Anglo-Saxon is a kind of "mixed race". I do understand that it's interesting to look at Anglo-Saxon Britain and reflect on the diversity of people who have conquered the land and migrated here over the centuries, prior to the 20th. Any purity of "race" stuff is infamously mythical and scientifically unsound - but in this context, it was....
