Went out for lunch with some mates and David Blunkett's racism came up (the Home Secretary and man in charge of things like immigration). I was told he is Jewish - to which I answered, now I'm even more ashamed...
L, who is Muslim said, well you know if they want to add to the feeling of hate they blame it on a Jewish person. It's probably not even true he's Jewish, they just say that to make people hate him even more.
At the time I was grateful to her for saying it, but I feel crap now. I honestly don't think he is Jewish - but it's interesting and depressing that there are rumours to say he is, to explain his high level of racism.
